May 31st  – Leland McLemore will share his views on "Trends in American Higher Education".  He'll present a brief look at the past, present, and future of American colleges and universities, trends in pedagogy, and the challenges of educating students for life in a globalized world.  The discussion will include comparisons to the French university system, touching on the Bologna process and its implications for American higher education.  One hint: the lecture is passé, so we anticipate lots of interaction!
